April 2011

April 1st
Oh, Fools Day!
This year it was soooo fun!
I told the kids that we were going to have
cupcakes for the main course.
They were soooo excited!
We put a candle on top and sang a
happy unbirthday song.
Jacob loves to blow out candles,
so we kept lighting it up.

And we kept singing to him.
David loved his "cupcake"
really it was meatloaf with mashed potato frosting.
For dessert we had hamburgers.
Nilla waffers with mint cookies and frosting.
Jacob was so sad that he had to taste his meatloaf.
Poor kid.
Emma loved the fun.
Bryan is chunking out!
I wish those were 2 thumbs up for what was for dinner.
April 14th
I found a recipe online how to make slime.
1tsp borax
one container Elmer's glue
and one cup water
David was in heaven!

He was even able to make a "balloon" thing.

April 18
Jacob's colored tongue.
I love that he was able to have surgery on his tongue.
No more tongue tie.
April 23
The day before Easter.
We colored eggs.
Bryan slept part of the time.
Jacob really enjoyed it this year.
Notice clean hands.

Abby
The crew!
Jacob's was so excited that his fingers changed colors.
We told him that he looked like he was Incredible Hulk.
He didn't know who that was.
So we looked Incredible Hulk up.
Now he wants to change his whole body green so he could be
Incredible Hulk!

April 24
Easter Sunday
I was able to sleep in.
That was nice.
But, I was sandwiched between these two cuties.
Bryan rolled over for the first time today.
4 months old.
Dessert at my Dad's.
Easter egg hunt at my Dad's.
Emma and Jacob with David in the background.
Jacob got to go out first. But not for too long.
He has figured this out and he was fast!
Abby
This year we didn't put candy in the eggs.
We put money in them.
2 dollar bills
dollar coins
half dollars
and other change.

The joys of being at grandparents home.
Emma and Abby
I think this is a cute picture of Emma and David.
They just look like they are having fun together.
Grapefruit tree = climbing tree
April 15 I took Bryan to a GI doctor. They said that they think he may have a dairy allergy. So, because I nurse that meant that I couldn't have dairy any longer. One week later April 21 I ate eggs for dinner the next day Bryan cried for hours. He was in so much pain. I was told to stop eating eggs.
It has been hard to cut dairy, soy, eggs and now nuts out of my diet. But, I will do anything for my baby.

More March 2011

Jacob saw this picture and said,
"Mom, I like my toy's."
So, this photo had to be remembered.
Kids got ahold of the camera.
They take pictures of the most interesting things.

David acting something out for family home evening.
March 7
Something wasn't quite right with the engine.
He was getting blowbye with the oil.
It passed emissions.
However, he swapped the engines once more.
March 8
Spring Break!!
They decorated this house.
Then it was destroyed before I was able to get a picture of it all put together.
March 14

Also for spring break we colored rice so we could make a sensory box.
March 18
Bryan's blessing day.
March 20
Grandma Norgard, Uncle Jon, Aunt Laura, Millie and Rebecca came.
It's cool, we have five kids!!
Can't remember what Jacob was doing.
Probably throwing dirt in the air.
This picture doesn't do much justice, he was filthy!!
I even had to dig some dirt out of his ears.
March 27
For some reason the kids wanted to help clean up the side yard.
They went out on their own and worked.
Then of course they asked if they could have a treat for what they had done.
A neighbor girl (Ruby) came over to help out too.
