Thank You Grandma

Emma and Abby are so thankful for their curtains.

Emma likes that her room can be pink when the sun is shining through early in the morning. 

That way Abby can still have her favorite color room during the day... purple.

I think is it so great that they get to have the experience of being sisters. -Ma

Back to Basics

Our dryer broke last week.  I thought it was going to be one of the worst things that could possibly happen.  Family of 6 without a dryer.  BUT... it wasn't too bad.  It was so hot that the clothes would dry in about 30 to 40 minutes.  Sometimes after I finished hanging the clothes the ones that were hung up first would be totally dry.  How is that for living in the heat?  That is one benefit.  Are there more?  Probably not many.  Well, ya, we can have a garden year round, but that is another story.  Pa fixed the dryer yesterday for less than $50.00 and it is a lot quieter now.

Thanks Pa.  It will be nice to have fluffy clothes again.  Who knows maybe I will go back to using the clothes line again.  Maybe when it is a little cooler.  :)  E.N. was a great help she stood up on the stool and hung up socks and undies.  A.E. was also helpful she would take the clothes pins out of my apron and hand them to me when needed.  Great helpers.
