Pa was taking Emma and Jacob to the grocery store. Abby was very upset that she couldn't go.
So David asked why Emma gets to go.
I said, "because she has been listening so well."
David looked a little confused then said, "well then why does Jacob get to go?"
I said, "because I need to get Jacob out of my hair for a while."
David said with a perplexed look, "I didn't know Jacob was in your hair."
I laugh and said, "Oh, it's just a figure of speech."
David, "oh, okay."
Abby said, "I don't get it."
David, "It's like in Martha, Abby. He isn't really in her hair."

The song Hot N Cold by Katy Perry came on in the van. Emma got so excited she said,"Hey, I know this song. I invented this song!"
